Mensa Singapore

In-Person Seminars

Mensa Singapore is the local chapter of Mensa International, the world's oldest and largest high-IQ society, founded in 1946. Membership is open to anyone scoring in the top two percent on a supervised intelligence test, and the Singapore chapter brings that community together through talks, workshops, and family events.

PORTICO partners with Mensa Singapore to deliver in-person seminars for members and their children, walking families through the UK admissions timeline, personal statements, admissions tests, and interviews.

The Oxford & Cambridge Society of Singapore

Online Webinars

The Oxford & Cambridge Society of Singapore (OCSS) is the alumni society that connects graduates of the two universities living and working in Singapore. It exists to keep the Oxbridge community close, hosting networking events, mentoring, and outreach for the next generation of applicants.

PORTICO collaborates with OCSS on free online webinars, giving prospective students and parents across Southeast Asia direct access to recent Oxbridge admits and a live Q&A on the application process.

Academic Summer Programmes

Ahausse International runs immersive, Cambridge-linked academic summer programmes that give students a taste of university-level study before they apply. Its residential courses pair rigorous subject teaching with mentorship from tutors connected to top UK institutions.

PORTICO speakers join Mensa Singapore in person to guide members and their families through applying to Oxford, Cambridge, and other leading UK universities.

Each session covers course selection, the UCAS timeline, writing a personal statement that reads as your own, preparing for admissions tests, and what actually happens in an Oxbridge interview, followed by an open floor for questions.
